Role Summary:
Position: Senior Programme Associate (Shelter & NFI)
Under the supervision of the Programme Manager (Shelter & NFI) and direct guidance from the Recovery and Durable Solutions Advisor / Shelter NFI and CCCM Sector National Coordinator, the Senior Programme Associate will support the implementation and management of IOM’s Shelter and NFI project portfolio in Pakistan.
This includes facilitating the Shelter and WASH NFI Common Pipeline and supporting the Shelter NFI Sector, which encompasses the CCCM Working Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage IOM’s online core pipeline system for stock requests and ensure timely feedback to field focal points.
Organize and maintain electronic filing systems, updating records as required.
Coordinate with implementing partners on stock distribution requests, provide training on system use, and collect distribution reports.
Support administrative tasks, including preparation of operational and financial documents, travel arrangements, and expense processing.
Organize sector meetings and workshops, draft minutes, and develop guidelines and survey tools.
Review financial justifications and assist in processing payments and money transfers.
Assist in creating and implementing monitoring and evaluation tools, ensuring accurate documentation of distributions and activities.
Collaborate with provincial sector leads to enhance programme delivery.
Identify and suggest improvements in distribution methodologies and core pipeline systems.
Provide general support to the Shelter and WASH team as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
OR High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Experience:
Proven experience in emergency humanitarian response, particularly in Shelter NFI or logistics.
Experience coordinating actions with implementing partners.
Familiarity with the 2022 flood response in Pakistan (preferred).
Prior engagement with government counterparts, donors, and beneficiaries is an advantage.
Skilled in organizing medium-to-large scale events and managing multi-sectoral stakeholders.
Skills:
Team player with the ability to work harmoniously in diverse cultural and professional settings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of UN systems and procedures.
Advanced computer literacy, especially in database tools and online platforms.
Languages:
Required: Fluency in English and Urdu (oral and written).
Desirable: Knowledge of regional languages (Pashto, Sindhi, Balochi) is an advantage.
