Job Opportunity at International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD)
Position: Project Management Assistant
Location: Lahore or Peshawar, Pakistan
Duration: 12 Months
Salary: Up to PKR 375,000 per month

Project Background
The Project Management Assistant will contribute to the pipeline project “Sustainable Reintegration of Returnees and Improved Migration Management in Pakistan.” Key objectives include:
Enhancing post-arrival assistance for returnees.
Promoting sustainable reintegration (socially, psychosocially, and economically), with a focus on women and persons with disabilities.
Raising awareness about safe and orderly migration, including the risks of irregular migration.
Supporting the development of gender-sensitive National Reintegration Policy and related documents.
Strengthening national and local stakeholders’ capacities on return and reintegration.
The position will report to the Senior Project Manager at the Silk Routes Regional Office, Vienna, Austria, with the duty station in Islamabad or Lahore.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and organize work to support project priorities.
Build effective relationships within teams to meet project needs.
Develop contingency plans to address potential changes.
Analyze data to identify patterns and propose solutions.
Define realistic outputs and clarify roles, responsibilities, and expected results.
Collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
Maintain attention to detail while working under pressure and tight timelines.
Requirements
Expertise
Independent planning and organizational skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to adapt to changes and propose contingency measures.
Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills.
Attention to detail, discretion, and ability to meet deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (secondary education with relevant experience will be considered).
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in an international context.Supporting innovative practices and workflows.
Status reporting activities.
Skills:Proficiency in standard IT tools (knowledge of SAP is an asset).
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Languages: Fluency in English (written and verbal). Proficiency in the local language is an asset.
